About meI am a New Zealand trained osteopath with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Biology) and a Master of Osteopathy. I have a current annual practicing certificate with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand and am a member of Osteopaths New Zealand. I am also an ACC provider.
Through my years of practice, I have had the care of patients from all areas of life including athletes, office workers, seniors and babies. Having lived some years overseas as a child and being a traveller, I enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds and cultures. I have a particular interest in treating shoulder injuries, headaches, neck pain and long-term lower back pain. Looking at alternative solutions to pain is what brought me to including the Gaitscan and orthotic prescription in my practice. I have found it to be an invaluable tool in further assessing people with long-term pain. As an osteopath, I use a variety of approaches including stronger manual techniques, and gentler functional and cranio-sacral tenchniques to tailor the treatment to each individual. I'm also interested in facilitating health through lifestyle and exercise advice as an integrated approach to treatment. I have have worked primarily in Christchurch, with some experience in Auckland previously. I enjoy working with two great teams, one at Halswell Clinic and the other at Total Body Osteopathy. |
